CONFLICT COACHING

Conflict can be destructive and being unable to resolve matters can become very uncomfortable.  Left unresolved, conflict can be stressful, causing sleeplessness and poor health.  When you're involved in a difficult conflict it can be very difficult to think things through clearly and coaching can be an effective way of moving things forward.

A conflict coach will help you to explore what's happening for you and others and think about the situation more objectively.  Identifying conflict styles and patterns of behaviour can help find ways to break the conflict cycle and pave the way to the possible steps that can be taken.

Conflict coaching can be used as a way to resolve a specific conflict or as a way for someone to improve their conflict style and feel more comfortable in challenging situations.  Avoidance of conflict is fairly common and can result in escalation of difficult situations.  Becoming more confident in conflict can be helpful for demonstrating assertiveness and can help in achieving other personal goals.

Conflict Coaching: Services

FAQ

WHAT DOES CONFLICT COACHING INVOLVE?

Conflict coaching takes place over a series of sessions.  After each session, the coachee may leave with tasks to complete ready for the next session, designed to continue the progress outside of the coaching sessions.

A conflict coach helps people think through their current situation, offering support, while also challenging limiting assumptions and thought processes.  The coachee will be supported to explore and evaluate available options and then construct plans to make progress with their aims.

WHY CHOOSE TALKING RESOLUTIONS AS YOUR CONFLICT COACHING PROVIDER?

The breadth of experience within the team means we have the right person for each individual situation.  We're not just coaches, we're also experienced mediators and have dealt with many types of conflict.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE REQUIRED?

This will depend on the circumstances.  If the aim is to resolve a specific conflict, anywhere between one and four sessions can be required, though we find the average number of sessions is three.  More complex conflicts may require more sessions.

If conflict coaching is requested in relation to personal development, four to six sessions may be needed.  Conflict coaching can be booked as a block of sessions or on a session-by-session basis, as required.

WHAT DOES CONFLICT COACHING COST?

Each session costs £100 and lasts between 60 and 90 minutes.

WHERE DOES CONFLICT COACHING TAKE PLACE?

Conflict coaching can happen either in person or remotely, depending on what is best for the circumstances.  We can be flexible about the location of meetings in person but travel outside of a 25-mile radius of our office will be charged at 45p per mile.
